SGAR Committees and Representatives
Southern Gateway Association would not function without the many volunteers that help with the many aspects of the organization. One of the ways to participate in the association is through its many diverse committees and representatives.
The following is a list of the committees and a brief description of committee's focus. These are in alphabetical as there is no more important committee than all of them!

Committees
Affliate Committee
The role of the Affiliate Committee is to represent the Affiliate members of SGAR and work closely with the REALTOR® members on various projects to enhance the reputation and professional image of its members and SGAR.
Awards Committee
Ensures that all applicants for awards meet the requirements set forth for those awards governed by this committee shall review all applications and figures and accept the broker signature for the application and reports to be correct and accurate. However, if a question arises, the broker may be contacted.
Diversity Awareness
Brings awareness to the differences in age, race, and cultural differences, amongst many others, to the members and offers ways to insure that equality is represented in the business.
Education Committee
Plan quality educational classes and trainings to ensure professionalism and competence of the membership of SGAR.
Governmental Affairs
A forum of members to actively monitor county and local legislative issues that impact the real estate industry in Jefferson County and Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.
Membership Committee
Develops ways to increase membership and work to retain membership.
Public Relations Committee
The role of the PR Committee is to represent all Members of Southern Gateway Association of REALTORS® to enhance the reputation and professional image of its members and SGAR. The PR Committee works to promote the programs and events of SGAR and to connect our members with our community.
RPAC Committee
The purpose of the RPAC Committee is to educate members about the meaning & benefits of RPAC.
Ways and Means Committee
Plans events and generates non-dues funding for designated charities and the Association.
Representatives
Contracts and Forms/ Risk Management Representative
The Contracts & Forms Representative sits on the St. Louis Association of REALTORS® Contract & Forms Committee and represents SGAR at its functions. Must be a REALTOR® member of SGAR.
