Education Types
SGAR Education
At SGAR, there are three different types of Education Opportunities that are provided. These types include MREC approved CORE Classes, MREC Approved Elective Classes, and Breakfast Break Sessions.
The Education Committee strives to provide diverse, informative programs. The instructors are professionals in the courses for which they teach.
New Member Orientation
New Membership Orientation consist of two classes.
Introduction to Ethics is an overview of the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics Document.
SGAR Membership Orientation reviews the benefits and activities of the local, state and national associations. A representative from MARIS provides some tips and tricks of using MARIS and reviews the benefits that MARIS offers the SGAR members.

interpretations of reasonable accommodations, Missouri
Non-discrimination Act (MONA), the recent addition to the
Code of Ethics – new standard of practice 10-5, web site
content accessibility guidelines, litigation involving
discriminatory practices and so much more. Lots going on

In this course we will cover the many ways you can assist consumers in their real estate transaction including: exclusive representation, transaction facilitator, seller agency, buyer agency, and so much more. And while we are at it, let’s talk about required agency disclosure, the importance of written agreement and compensation. Breakfast Break Sessions are informational classes about industry topics. Topics at the sessions may include items such as insurance, title, and mortgage. Professionals in the fields are brought in to the association to education the members in their prospective fields.
These sessions are NOT for Continuing Education Credit
